*Only prep school in the area with a competitive rowing squad
*Sports scholarships to Bournemouth Collegiate, Bryanston, Canford and Sherborne Boys
As the above shows, the school aims to provide pupils with the best possible environment that will enable them to reach their full potential, and appreciate the value of ‘sport for life’.
Many pupils from Castle Court have gone on to National and International honours in different sports and we are proud to play a part in their success. However, just as important to us is ensuring that every child has developed the sporting skills necessary to thrive and enjoy sport.
Our Castle Court Athlete Development Programme is unique amongst prep schools and is about delivering age and developmentally appropriate skills which are taught by highly qualified staff. Children love winning and it is encouraged, but the focus is always educational rather than result-orientated.
Lifelong skills and values
We have six key values that permeate through everything the sports department does; pride, hard work, enthusiasm, consistency, high standards and teamship. In addition excellent manners and sportsmanship are valued and rewarded.
Enjoyment and Opportunity
Pupils are offered a huge range of opportunities at Castle Court. Every pupil represents the school in fixtures in the major team sports through a varied and balanced fixture list. We have an extensive Outdoor Education programme enabling all pupils to experience activities such as sailing, horseriding, shooting, climbing and kayaking.
Above all else our environment allows pupils to enjoy their sport.
