Rugby has been very popular with the boys in recent years and the school is lucky to have two RFU Level 2 coaches on the staff, together with four other experienced teachers. The senior boys are all invited to join a warm-weather training camp and tour to Barcelona every other October and this has raised standards considerably, with the 1st XV having lost only a couple of games over the last three years.

The 2nd XV, Colts XII and Junior Colts IX enjoy a busy season with seven or eight fixtures (following the RFU Continuum) and we arrange matches for Colts ‘B’ and Junior Colts ‘B’ whenever we can, so that nearly every boy can play for the school. We also put out Year 7 and Year 8 sides against local Middle Schools, and Year 4 have at least one tag or full contact fixture.
