Children move on to a variety of senior independent and state schools, including the local grammar schools. We ensure that they are well prepared for this next stage in their educational journey. In 2009 all children passed the Common Entrance exams to their first choice senior school.
Future Schools
Castle Court pupils gain many scholarships to senior independent schools. Our strength and breadth across the academic, artistic, musical and sporting fields ensure many pupils achieve excellent results.
Scholarships
Music is seen to be an important part of school life and the children are given plenty of opportunities to perform informally and formally, inside and outside school. There are approximately 190 music lessons per week given by 15 music teachers.

Drama is a very important subject in our curriculum throughout the school and our pupils are given excellent opportunities to develop their skills and confidence.
From Nursery up to Year 2, each year group puts on a Christmas presentation in the main school hall for parents. All the pupils in the older year groups have a speaking and acting part, speaking and singing from memory.
Years 3 and 4 put on a joint drama performance in the Spring term, enabling every child to learn to project their voice and to take part as a team. All pupils in Years 5 and 6 receive class lessons in Speech and Drama as part of their main timetable, with the additional option of individual tuition, whilst pupils in Years 7 and 8 continue to have the option of individual tuition.
Pupils in Years 3 to 8 also have the opportunities to take part in after-school activities, which lead to presentations to parents in the Autumn and Summer terms. Year 7 and 8 put on a dramatic production in the Summer term after Common Entrance.
