We have a very active Parents and Friends Association (CCPaF). This is an Association made up of current parents from all year groups whose aim is to hold at least one major social event each term as well as numerous year-group-specific coffee mornings/lunches/walks/play dates etc. Highlights in recent terms have included sparkling summer and winter Balls, the annual quiz night and the Bonfire and Fireworks Night.
The emphasis is firmly on fun, food and friendships, but where larger events make a profit these funds go towards the school’s chosen charities, or projects within the school. In recent years, CCPaF has kindly provided funds for nativity costumes, metallophones for the music department, the school’s ‘Greenfingers’ project, a set of radio-microphones for the drama department and social events for particular groups of pupils in the school.
CCPaF also have a crucial role in helping to welcome new families to the school, through organising play dates, year group outings, or by being able to offer a welcoming cup of coffee or a friendly voice at the end of the phone.
There is no charge to join the CCPaF.
“I know that many new parents to the school have found CCPaF an invaluable source of information and friendship. At Castle Court we pride ourselves on being a family focused school, and this value and ethos is embodied in all that CCPaF do. Thank you for your hard work, enthusiasm, creativity and most importantly humour.”
Richard Stevenson, Headmaster
