Orchestral Course

24th Orchestral Course is a hit once again!

Castle Court Orchestral Course strikes the right chord again!

Children from 15 schools joined forces over the weekend of 23rd January 2010 to form an orchestra and wind band for the 24th course in the school's musical history. Run by Castle Court's music staff (headed by Roy Robinson, himself a viola player, pianist, ABRSM international examiner and British Federation of Festivals adjudicator), the end of course concert was a splendid showcase, revealing the talents of all the children!
A parent whose child attended the course said “thank you to you and the rest of the team for a super weekend of music. Our daughter had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed practising and performing (the roast lunch went down well too!). Although there were many children from various schools, she was made to feel very welcome, and looks forward to the next opportunity.”
Plans are already afoot for January 2011, with the course once again sponsored by Minns Music, to be held on 14th and 15th January 2011.   Email rnrobinson@castlecourt.com to find out more or to book your child a place.
