We welcome children into Badgers once they are three. They come for as many half or full days as they wish. Our nursery class provides stimulating activities with lots of fun to give children an appetite for, and a love of, learning.

Morning sessions lay the foundations for reading, writing and numeracy. As well as this there is plenty of time for getting hands dirty with imaginative work and play.

"It's like a family for the children ... it's a very happy environment"

Parent

The children eat a healthy cooked lunch and then those in Badgers are able to have a rest or they can go home after lunch.

Afternoon sessions in Badgers are a time for creativity and energy with art, handicrafts, dance, gymnastics, cookery and nature walks to name but a few.

In Reception the emphasis is on literacy and numeracy, but the timetable is broad, varied and fun. The children use computers, and we introduce them to religious studies, music and art as well as sport.
