This has been a busy first half to the summer term, but on our return on Monday 6th June life will get more hectic. Common entrance exams, activities week, sports days, swimming galas, the senior play and Speech Day with our guest speaker Fraser Doherty. With best wishes for a good half-term holiday.
Sport is not just for the “A” team. Sport is for all; for life. Our children do have access to all the main team sports you would expect in a prep school, netball, hockey, rounders, football, rugby and cricket, but also more minor sports: golf, skiing, sailing, swimming, horse riding. biathle and tennis. Not everyone is a team sports player, but everyone can play sport; and enjoy sport. You just need to find the right activity for you. Click here to see more detail on our Facebook page. Or see below a picture of brothers Amir and Reza who won their novice races at a recent school’s ski competition.
The weather may be giving us three seasons in a day at the moment, but this is not putting off our sailors. The crews have now had a couple of trips to Rockley and the Weymouth Sailing Centre to help develop their sailing racing knowledge. They are looking forward to joining other crews from Prep Schools around the country in the IAPS sailing challenge next week.
The holiday courses for summer 2016 have been launched! This time the range of activities is as broad as ever, and we feel that there really is something for everyone: The “little littles” can spend time at Castle Court, taking full advantage of the fabulous grounds. The “little kids” have a range of outings planned including horse riding and trips to Moors Valley and Kingston Lacy. The “big kids” can go coasteering, visit the New Forest Waterpark, play zorbing football, enjoy “mad science” and a visit from reptiles and birds of prey specialists as well as see the latest releases at the cinema, to name but a few of the adventures on offer. If you would like to find out more please contact the school office on 01202 694438 or email email@example.com. Numbers are limited.
